acredites: 05.02.13 — Happy 28th birthday, Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro! Dear Cristiano Ronaldo,      Today is your birthday. I wish you all the best for this upcoming year and all the happiness in the world. To many, you are just a really good football player. To me, you’re an inspiration.      I’ve seen you play since 2004, since the Euros when Portugal hosted it, and I haven’t been able to keep my eyes off of you since. This sport obviously means a whole lot to you and it shows when you play. I admire your hunger for success, your perseverance and your humbleness towards others. You never fail to disappoint, to entertain, simply by doing the job that you love. As a fellow Portuguese born, I am proud to watch you play for our country and your emotion shown after you scored that magnificent header against Czech Republic during the European Championships in 2012 made my eyes well up, not only because it was a step further in the competition, but the happiness that you showcased (and the rest of the team) showed that you have pleasure playing for your country and would probably do anything for Portugal to get the international recognisation it needs. I thank you for that.      You inspire me in several ways: to do what you love because it’s what makes you happy, to not let what anybody else thinks bother you and that professionalism is key.
